This was taken in August of 2015.
It has taken me some time to get to posting it, partly due to my own photography taking a little of a backward set in the closing stages to last year and partly because of an uncertainty at the time on how to process it. 2015 saw a lot more colour appear in my photography, a move that wasn’t conscious but very clearly happened. This was perhaps due to me finding myself out more in the early morning light and, as was the case here, as the days light was starting to decline. As is often the case, this was taken just before some rain came in, with the sun still shining leading to some lovely light and some equally lovely colour. Yet for all my attempts to edit this in colour, I never quite got to a point where I felt the photograph captured the mood I wanted. I therefore returned to it more recently with a clear mind and viewed it with a colourless eye, rediscovering some of the sense I felt when I returned to this pipeline that I have visited numerous times and what it was I wanted to end up with at the time.
